The Wagon, the Hub, and the Spokes: Businesses That Help Each Other

Instead of building separate businesses that compete for your attention, build connected ones that share systems, audiences, and lessons.

Picture a wagon wheel. The hub is the center: the shared assets every business can draw on, such as your audience, your systems, your relationships, and what you have learned. The spokes are individual businesses, each built to solve one specific problem. The wagon is the whole thing moving in one direction.

When a business is a spoke, it does not start from zero. It inherits the hub: proven follow-up systems, an existing audience, partners who already trust you.

It also feeds the hub. Every spoke produces lessons and customers that make the next one stronger.

Before adding a spoke, ask three questions. What single problem does it solve? What does it borrow from the hub? What will it give back? If you cannot answer all three, wait.
